About
I believe that my paintings transcend mere visuals. They are immersive experiences. Each stroke of color resembles a ray of light, illuminating the joy, happiness, beauty, and gratitude often overlooked in life's hustle and bustle. Art possesses an incredible power to relax, transform, heal, and spark creativity. Working with various mediums allows the exploration of different expressional facets. Watercolor's fluidity, acrylic's vibrancy and texture, oil paints' earthy tones and timeless allure, and the decorative qualities of textiles and wearable arts inspire experimentation with paintings and styles, while my multicultural background and experiences with nature and diverse cultures influence my art. As a person of Indian origin, inspiration often comes from India—its people, beauty, and rich culture.

My artistic journey began at a young age in Mumbai's suburbs. My love for drawing and ingrained creativity was recognized by a school teacher, who suggested I participate in competitive Art exams - Elementary and Intermediate, honoring certificates of high standing. I went on to pursue Arts and Design at the Sir JJ School of Arts in Mumbai and Fashion Styling refinement at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

Passion and perseverance over the past 8 years have made me a well-recognized presence in the Austin art scene. Exhibitions, both solo and with various art groups, active involvement in many art communities, representation by galleries across Texas in Austin, Lakeway, Bee Cave, and Dripping Springs, membership in art organizations, participation in juried art shows judged by world-famous honorary artists, awards, and international recognition, including for a juried competition hosted by the City of Paestum, Italy are some of the things that have defined my career.
I believe giving back to the community is essential. I have led art judging for school competitions, mentored and taught art students, and conducted workshops with Waterloo Watercolor Group, ArtusCo Gallery, and The Hive Gallery among others. Through my private studio, Art Chakra, I have been teaching students of all ages for the past 8 years to help pass on the light of art to the next generation, guided by my belief in its ability to relax, transform, heal, and inspire creative thinking.
